Our new paper published in Biomedicines | Department of Medical Chemistry

Máté Nagy-Pénzes, a PhD student in the Virág Lab, has shown that a flavone derivative called tricetin, which can be found in various plant pollens, alleviates the severity of pancreatitis. The mechanism of the compound is to inhibit the expression of inflammatory mediator genes and to prevent DNA breaks. The study was published in the international journal Biomedicines (IF 6.0).
